The Coronavirus situation is developing rapidly. The Union is here to support you and is working with employers and the Government to ensure that our members are protected at work. If you would like to deepen your knowledge and understanding there are many free courses you can access to find out more information to help you separate fact from fiction.


Reps and members may be struggling with increased pressures at work and home, stress and anxiety and there are a number of courses and resources available through the Health section including a very helpful website from Mind but there are additional resources here:

Coronavirus related learning

Our Health & Safety During COVID-19 course is designed to help you understand what employers should be doing to protect the health and safety of their employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also signpost you to where you can access regular updates for Usdaw reps and members as the government guidance changes.

Skills for Health, the health care sector skills council are offering a course.

FutureLearn run by the Open University is offering a course.

From LSHTM (The London School of hygiene and tropical medicine) you can access a free online course.

Grey matter learning are also offering various distance learning courses offered by learning curve through the Gateway distance learning section.

The Tuc/Unionlearn have been running a series of webinars which are available to watch live or archived on to YouTube to watch at any time with lots of good advice and YouTube to watch at any time with lots of good advice and Unionlearn’s eNotes are an excellent resource for information for reps and members.
