Retail trade union Usdaw has welcomed the launch of the Abuse of Public-Facing Workers (Offences) Bill by Olivia Blake MP (Labour, Sheffield Hallam). The Bill was introduced in the House of Commons today under the 10-minute rule and is scheduled for a second reading on Friday 28 January 2022.

Responding to the Police Crime Sentencing and Courts Bill second reading debate last night, the Government Minister indicated an amendment is still under consideration.

Retail trade union Usdaw is urging members to email their MP, asking them to vote for Labour’s opposition day motion, which will be debated tomorrow. It seeks to stop the Government from cutting over £1,000 per year from Universal Credit and Working Tax Credit payments.
