Usdaw suspends industrial action at Scotbeef as talks move to ACAS 19 December 2017 Usdaw has suspended the two planned 24-hour stoppages at Scotbeef sites in East Kilbride and Queenslie in Glasgow after an agreement has been reached to move talks to the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS). The first 24-hour stoppage was due to start at 10pm tonight. TUC condemns plans to ditch working time protection 19 December 2017 The TUC has spoken out against proposals from Ministers to scrap the Working Time Directive in post-Brexit Britain. Repealing the Working Time Regulations would remove rights to paid holidays, daily and weekly rest breaks, restrictions on maximum weekly hours and health protection for night workers. At least 7 million workers would lose out according to the TUC. Usdaw announces the first 24-hour stoppage at Scotbeef following an 80% vote in favour of industrial action 06 December 2017 Usdaw members working at Scotbeef will hold their first 24-hour stoppage on Tuesday 19 December, after rejecting the most recent offer of a 1.7% pay rise linked to changes in break entitlements. The industrial action will affect Scotbeef workplaces in East Kilbride and Queenslie in Glasgow.
