There are also proposed changes in the Wembley and Warrington offices. Usdaw is the union for Ikea staff in the UK and will now enter into consultation talks with the company. ICTU Women’s Conference 2024: Usdaw seeks action to support carers 07 March 2024 Retail trade union Usdaw has a delegation, representing workers in Northern Ireland, attending the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) Women’s Conference, which starts today and takes place in Athlone in the Republic of Ireland. Co-op pay rise - Usdaw members overwhelmingly accept a 10.1% increase, taking the hourly rate to £12 06 March 2024 Retail trade union Usdaw has balloted members working for Co-operative Group on a 10.1% pay rise and they have overwhelmingly accepted, with 87% voting in favour. The increase takes the basic hourly rate to £12 and will be paid from 1 April 2024. B&Q stores could face disruption as Usdaw members vote for industrial action over pay at a GXO distribution centre in Swindon 05 March 2024 Members of Usdaw at a GXO distribution centre in Swindon, which operates a B&Q contract, have voted unanimously for industrial action over pay. The ballot of over 100 Usdaw members had an 87% turnout and was conducted after the company’s offer of 5.25%, with some investment in an attendance bonus and a damage bonus, was rejected. The ballot gives Usdaw a mandate to take industrial action from week beginning 18 March. Tesco Pay deal: Usdaw secures a 9.1% increase in hourly pay taking the basic rate over the real Living Wage 05 March 2024 Retail trade union Usdaw has negotiated a pay deal with Tesco that will significantly increase the hourly pay rate for staff in stores and fulfilment centres by £1 per hour to £12.02 per hour. Around 220,000 colleagues across the UK will benefit from this increase, which represents one of the largest investments in pay by Tesco in a single year.
