Energy bills to increase by 135% in a year under the Tories – Usdaw condemns the Government for failing workers in the cost of living crisis

Retail trade union Usdaw has criticised the Government’s inadequate response to energy price increases, with household bills already doubled in six months and set for a 135% annual increase in a year. Average household energy bills were £1,277 in March 2022, climbed to £2,500 in October 2022 and will now rise to £3,000 by next April 2023.
