The Bill received was passed unopposed by the House of Commons and is set to receive its second reading in the House of Lords on Friday 3 March. The Protection from Redundancy (Pregnancy and Family Leave) Bill is timetabled for a second reading debate in the House of Lords on Friday 3 March. Labour announces workplace support for women with menopause – Usdaw welcomes the ground-breaking policy 28 February 2023 Retail trade union Usdaw has welcomed today’s policy announcement by Labour to require large firms to set out Menopause Action Plans detailing how they are supporting women with menopause at work. The policy forms part of Labour’s offer to working women, with one in ten aged 45-55 having left their jobs due to menopausal symptoms.
