Ocado Andover Fire - Usdaw Statement

Online grocer Ocado has suffered a major fire at its warehouse in Andover, Hampshire that took more than 24 hours to bring under control. Around 200 firefighters were drafted in to tackle the blaze, which broke out on Tuesday and spread overnight, causing substantial damage.

XPO Logistics propose closing their Wellingborough House of Fraser warehouse - Usdaw enters into consultation talks

Offensive Weapons Bill: Peers urged by Usdaw to support a protection for shopworkers amendment

The Offensive Weapons Bill sets out criminal penalties for shopworkers and delivery drivers who allow sales of corrosive substances and knives to under-18s. The amendment backed by Usdaw will create an offence if the person attempting to buy these products abuses, threatens or assaults the retail worker who is enforcing the law.
