Shopworkers’ trade union leader John Hannett has expressed disappointment that the Government has turned their backs on retail staff working on Boxing Day, despite their warm words and claims to understand the pressure they come under.

93% of shopworkers do not want to be in work on Boxing Day, but more are set to – an Usdaw survey reveals

Shopworkers’ trade union Usdaw has today released results of a survey of nearly 4,000 retail staff in England and Wales, which shows that 93% do not want to be in work on Boxing Day, only 1.5% are happy to work and the remainder say they don’t mind.

FCA and DWP to introduce cap on early exit penalties

Shopworkers’ trade union leader John Hannett is presenting a petition with over 100,000 signatures to Arcadia headquarters on 30 November. The petitioners are calling on Sir Philip Green to deliver on his pledge to ‘sort’ the BHS pension scheme, which means offering significantly more than £250 million to make good the pension promises made to members.
